All hail King Turmeric!

One of our absolute favourites... good old Turmeric (Curcuma longa)... often referred to as “The Queen of Spices” 👸🏼 has been used for centuries in food & as a medicinal remedy in the Ayurvedic system of medicine. Curcumin being the main active ingredient, has shown in studies to have potent anti-inflammatory & antioxidant effects, which can reduce skin inflammation & may help psoriasis by controlling flare ups & other symptoms 👌🏼 According to the Journal of the American Chemical Society, it also contains a wide range of antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-carcinogenic & anti-mutagenic properties. All of this as well as boasting a wealth of nutrients including protein, dietary fibre, niacin (vit B3), vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K, sodium, potassium, calcium, copper, iron, magnesium & zinc!! Is there anything this bronzed Adonis cannot do?! 🏆
